Holli J. Welch

Holli J. Welch has been an associate at Woodhouse Roden Nethercott, LLC since January, 2016. In 2019, she was a recipient of the Wyoming Business Report's 40 Under 40. She has over four years of practice in many specialties in both State and Federal Court, where she focuses on Complex Civil Litigation, Worker's Compensation, Trusts and Estates, Probates, Business and Transactional Law, Employment Law, and Family Law. She enjoys researching novel issues and resolving intricate cases.

    • Holli represented Park County in various misdemeanor prosecutions.

  • 2nd Place Finalist in the Hirst Applegate Trial Advocacy Competition 2013

    • Holli and three teammates took second place in this trial competition against eight teams.

Other Notable Representations

  • In December 2019, Holli successfully appealed a denial of an acupuncture license in the first contested case before the Wyoming Board of Acupuncture.
  • Administration Law: On behalf of the homeowners in Granite Canon, Holli successfully opposed the Site Plan Submission for granite mining by Asphalt Specialties, Co., resulting in the denial thereof by the Laramie County Planning Commission in October 2018.
  • Title IX: Holli representative a minor in the federal sexual discrimination suit against Laramie County School District #1, and negotiated a settlement prior to the summary judgment decision.

Professional Leadership

  • District 28 Representative for the American Bar Association Young Lawyer Division, August 2019-2021

    • Holli represents the young lawyers of Wyoming and Colorado on the ABA YLD Council, serving as liaison for the local affiliate young lawyer sections. Through this position, Holli gives Wyoming and Colorado a voice at the national table, and votes on issues that affect attorneys across the country. Holli is the point person for the coordination of Disaster Legal Services programs within our District in conjunction with FEMA.

  • Past President of the Wyoming Young Lawyers Section (WYLS), Oct 2017- Oct 2018

    • WYLS hosted the 2018 Young Lawyers Division Mountain West Regional Summit in Jackson, bringing together young lawyers from the region for CLEs, networking, and community service; this Summit earned WYLS the ABA YLD Affiliate Star of the Quarter Award. Holli also facilitated numerous webinar CLEs and networking events for the young attorneys across Wyoming.
